Shandra first climbed into the saddle at age 11 during a week at horse camp, and she’s been riding ever since. While Dressage is her greatest passion, she’s also enjoyed exploring english pleasure, hunt seat, saddleseat, and riding on her college equestrian team. In 2023, with Jennifer’s guidance, she found and purchased her first horse, Fuerst Diamante “Mante,” and has been happily growing her skills and partnership ever since.
With a unique background in Engineering and Project Management, Shandra loves finding ways to make life at the barn run more smoothly for everyone. After stepping away from the corporate world, she helped found and now serves on the board of the Windfall Equine Therapy Center, a nonprofit that provides equine-assisted psychotherapy to foster and adopted children and veterans. She also puts her horsemanship training to work as an Equine Specialist, supporting clients during therapy sessions.
When she’s not at the barn, you can often find Shandra painting, cooking, reading, or traveling with her husband—always ready for the next adventure.
